It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Heather Farrell, lovingly known as Heather, on April 15, 2025, at 1:11 p.m in Montreal, Quebec. Surrounded by her family, Heather said her final farewell as she was welcomed into heaven’s gates.
Born in Moose-Jaw, Saskatchewan, Heather lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and unwavering faith. She loved with every inch of her heart and gave of herself without hesitation. Wherever she was needed, Heather was there, always offering kindness, support, and a warm light that lifted those around her.
Heather’s greatest pride and joy were her three sons, Rod, Andrew, and Hughie, whom she loved more than words could ever express. Through every challenge and triumph, they remained her guiding light and her purpose.
A woman of immense creativity, Heather found joy in crocheting countless beautiful pieces over the years, and more recently developed a deep passion for diamond painting. Her artistic spirit reflected the vibrant soul within, a soul that touched others deeply and left a lasting imprint on every heart she encountered.
Heather was also deeply rooted in her faith. Her relationship with God was raw, honest, and unshakable. It guided her through life and was a constant source of comfort and strength.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Judy and Alana; her children, Roderick, William Andrew, and Hugh; her cherished grandchildren, Steven, Emma, Sofia, and Aiden; and her dear nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her mother, Rhona Kay; her father, Robert Allan Farrell; and her stepfather, Douglas Kay.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the palliative care team at the CHUM, with special appreciation for Robert, who was truly Heather’s angel in her final days. We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Provencher and Katherine for their unwavering guidance and support throughout this journey. A sincere thank you as well to Rev. Brian Perron and the entirety of Saint Barnabas Anglican Church for your devoted support and for being Heather’s spiritual home.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Barnabas Anglican Church, 95 Avenue Lorne, Saint-Lambert, Quebec, J4P 2G7, on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m in the main church sanctuary, followed by a reception in Memorial Hall where the family will receive condolences.

TO JANE, and her hugs
Jane, Jane, Quiet voice, warm heart!
A million hugs That made me smile.
But then one day, My world was hard.
That hug she gave, It healed my heart And cured my soul.
But now she’s gone, Above us all.
There’s no more pain, Her back is straight, She’s young again
Her sketchbook, now, Is filled with time.
Her hugs, she gives, In that new world.
Her Saviour smiles, The angels laugh.
And now she waits.
She waits for him, She waits, For us.
Hal-le-lu-jah!
